Olivia also recommends the Haymarket District downtown and the Sunken Gardens. In Lincoln, you should try to get to a “Huskers” game but tickets are very hard to get. Simmons Wildlife Safari Park which features animals from the plains. On the way to Lincoln, she recommends stops at the Holy Family Shrine and at the Lee G. In Omaha, she recommends we see the Henry Doorly Zoo and Aquarium which is one of the best zoos in the USA. Olivia starts us in the east just as those who traveled on the Oregon Trail would have done. And if you drive straight across Nebraska in the middle of the state, you’ll hit all four of ’em and it’s beautiful.” The panhandle where most people forget about it it’s actually super beautiful, lots of bluffs, rock formations, starts to get drier, more desert-like. I would still stay here again because the property is great but they need to do something about the breakfast service to be on par with other TownePlace Suites I have stayed in.…īooked a 2 king sleeper sofa suite directly through the Marriott Bonvoy App. No fruit, no juice (the machine was broken) and no yogurt. All that was there was a dish full of heated up Jimmy Dean sausage biscuit sandwiches. This was better than the second morning when I thought I would go grab a yogurt but they didn't have any. One day it was some rubber fried eggs, a paper bowl of salsa with plastic spoon to service it with, cereal and yogurt. What I was suprised by was the so called breakfast. ![]() The rooms are what you expect at a TownePlace and everything was great. The woman working there made the comment that she wished it was bigger for a working area. Nice staff at the front desk but has to be one of the smallest lobby areas and reception desk in the entire chain.
